Hi, I’m Kayleigh—a coach, ultramarathon champion, and psychology graduate committed to helping runners push beyond their limits and run with heart.
My journey started with a Couch to 5K run November 2020. Fast forward to now, and I’m a UK Athletics Coach in Running Fitness and UESCA Certified Ultra Running Coach, with victories in ultramarathons including a win at the Golspie Backyard Ultra.

Through Run Smile Inspire, I support ambitious runners with coaching that covers every angle—training, strength, mindset, and nutrition. I combine real-world race experience with a BSc in Psychology to offer a science-backed, athlete-first approach grounded in curiosity, compassion, and challenge.
Whether you’re aiming for your first ultra or chasing a new PB, I’ll help you run stronger, think smarter, and fuel better—with a plan that adapts to your life, not the other way around.

My Running Journey.
Since that first 5K in 2020, I’ve levelled up year after year—completing a half marathon, marathon, 50-miler, and most recently, 31 yards at Golspie in 2024. In 2025, I’ll tackle the 215-mile Race Across Scotland, a challenge that excites and terrifies me in equal measure.
I’ve also fallen in love with the Backyard Ultra format, not just for the mental toughness, but the incredible camaraderie. My first BYU at The Highlander in 2023 saw me complete 12 yards. In 2025, I’ll return to represent Team Scotland at the 4 Nations Championships—a full-circle moment that means everything.
Beyond the Races
For me, running isn’t just about races. It’s about adventure, connection, and joy. You’ll often find me in my campervan with my partner (and expert Crew Chief!) Michael, chasing remote trails like Northern Ireland’s Mourne Way, where I earned a Fastest Known Time.
Those quiet, wild places recharge me. They remind me why I run—and why I coach.
Why Run Smile Inspire?
Because that’s my story. I started with zero background in sport, driven by the encouragement of others. Every runner I’ve met has sparked something in me—and I give that spark back through coaching and storytelling. Achievements like my FKT and ultra wins matter, but what matters more is hearing someone say, “You inspired me.”
And the “Smile”? That’s my secret weapon. It’s in every finish line photo, every stormy run, every hill. I believe positivity is power—and it turns “I could never” into “I just did.”
If you're ready to work together and run with heart, I’d love to hear from you.
